Impact of media from a view of a parent.

To fully reveal the idea of my blog I decided to use both sides of the problem from the view of  parents and from the view of children in order to recognize the advantages and disadvantages of living in a family in a period of time when media can replace real communicating skills. I made a little research among parents and children with whom I am closely communicating daily to expose how they react on challenges on the way of being in a good relationships with children/parents and how media helps them or can influence negatively instead. I have an opinion that clear vision of positive and negative sides of several problem can influence on reader’s mind because it is very important to me to show the dilemma from both sides. Here is the true story of Martha- the mother of two wonderful children (Alex and Jane) and how media usage successfully helped her to raise her elder son and little daughter in a period of time when media only started to changed the world and  became popular.

“My way of being a good parent was full of challenges because I brought up two children with different genders in a time when everything changed into digital format and media surrounded us twenty four hours in a day which made my parenting easier. For example, it helped me to understand to find my own pass in finding common ground with my son first and then my daughter second. Media usage showed me the difference between boys and girls imagination. I found out how to treat the problems which can happen in different ages with my children, illustrative examples which I red from magazines and  TV-shows I have watched about children, or useful links of websites with advices for parents influenced dramatically on me. Obviously it was hard for me at first, because my experience in media usage was not so big and I did not realized how to use media in the right way to take only positive things from data I was interested in, and protect my children from content which can destruct young minds . The impact of media like advertisements, news, online psychological books and interesting websites about children and their behavior in the modern world is increasing dramatically and parenting will never be the same as couple of decades ago.”
